Lots of thanks to you guys for your time. Your podcast is the Interprovincial Informational pipeline of the oil and gas industry. It helps me stay a step ahead and serves to inform our customers and employees the field I work in. To the question:
I have a wearable technology idea For any industry but would particularly serve the O and G industry. It helps detect an unseen it felt threat that causes lifelong lasting consequences. I want to get help in continuing the development of the idea but I don’t want to share it because I don’t want it stolen or replicated. What are some steps to take to protect the idea from theft all while finding partners to develop the idea?
Any tips would be appreciated and any connections to trustworthy partners would be awesome as well. Thanks again.
Why as an industry do we strive to “new technology”, when there is much technology that we have “shelved” yet not returned too. I believe there are many solutions currently on the market but are not being utilized to their utmost potential.
Please don’t get me wrong, we need to innovate and create new technology and applications, however, we also need to leverage and share the successes we have had and find the cross “silo” solutions that already exist as well. Can you please share your thoughts on this topic Mark and team?
Would you do a podcast on job leads to the HSE field for young professionals? Is there any Particular projects, volunteer works, or associations/organization beneficial for gaining industry knowledge and hands-on experiences?
I have a real thing for your podcasts gents, keep up the great work! Mark, what’s your opinion on the traditional large upstream mega-project that the supermajors tend to be so good at. Will they continue?
Jake, congrats on the birth of your son! What do you think the world of Oil and Gas will look like when he enters the workforce in 20 or so years?
Can you two talk about making data-driven decisions in the area of human capitol ? I’ve been hearing a lot of hype from our vendors, but what does this really mean? And how can large enterprises effective leverage these new technologies? Just love your show guys!
hanks for answering my question on your Q&A about using ROWE and remote technical staff! I asked that question because I am looking at starting my own production company. Jake, can you help me with this? I am mostly struggling with getting funding. I have considered using crowd funding or ICOs, but am completely ignorant.
